Yeomans, widow of Sanford A. Yeomans, died at 5 o’clock Friday a.m., after an illness of two or three weeks, although her health was seriously impaired by an attack of the grip three years ago. She was a daughter of Chauncey Stebbins, and came to Ionia county with her parents in 1836. She was born in Franklin county, Mass., March 6, 1829, and was therefore 75 years old at time of death. She leaves three brothers, will-known residents of Easton, Seymour, George, and Albert, besides other brothers and sisters. She was the mother of seven children, three of whom survive, and are residents of the county: Willard S., Frank H. and Edwin. She was a good step-mother to three others: Erastus T., Walter, and Mrs. Olive Just. ---- The estate of Mrs. S.A. Yeomans is being gradually distributed among the six heirs at law. The brick house known as the H. Harter homestead, on High street, with some lots on Dexter street, has been taken by Williard S. and Edwin S. Yeomans, at $3,000.
