She had spent her entire lifetime of nearly a century, in the county. Mrs. Willard (Clara D.) Yeomans, 97, died at her home on route three, State road, Friday at 5:30 a.m. Mrs. Yeomans had been confined to her home the past nine years. She was born in Eaton township July 15, 1862, the daughter of Wells and Helen (Herrick) Gott, and was married in Ionia in 1880 to Willard Yeomans. He died in 1908. Mrs. Yeomans had resided at her present home the past 78 years. She was a member of the Ionia Baptist church and the oldest living member of the church. She was a member of the State Road club. Survivors are a daughter, Margery, and a son, Maurice, at home; one granddaughter, Mrs. Don Braman; two great-grandchildren, and one niece, Mrs. Ernest Youngs of Ionia. A daughter, Mrs. Florence Haskin, and an infant daughter preceded her in death. Funeral service will be held at the Boynton funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Alfred E. Miller, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate and interment will be at Highland Park cemetery. The body of Mrs. Yeomans will be at the family residence on State road until Monday morning. Subsequent Publication: December 7, 1959 Funeral service was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Boynton funeral home for Mrs. Willard (Clara D.) Yeomans, 97, who died December 4 at her home on State road. The Rev. Alfred G. Miller, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated and interment was at Highland Park cemetery. Bearers were Walter Hunt, Gus Gott, Edwin Yeomans, Jr., Lee Harrington, Ovett Harrington and Robert Bennett. Members of the CCW class of the First Baptist church and the DAR attended in groups. Out of town persons attending were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hunt of Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Gott of Orleans, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Hanson of McBride, Mrs. Harry VanDyke of Hudsonville, Henry Higley, Mrs. George Vogt and Mrs. Robert Gary of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Higley of Lyons; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Wrangler of Muskegon, Mr. and Mrs. James Kenney of Cannonsburg, Mrs. Pauline Sabins and Mr. and Mrs. Elzie Douglas of Vestaburg, Mrs. Zack Palmer of Houghton Lake, Mrs. Gladys Dabersteen of Edmore, and Mrs. Freida Hudson, Mrs. Ralph Rose and Mrs. Earl Osborn of Lansing.
