Elizabeth C. Yeomans, age 91, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2006.  She was 
born on September 23, 1914 in Easton Township the youngest of 11 children of 
John and Irma (Cowan) McKendry. Mrs. Yeomans was a member of First United 
Methodist Church in Ionia and graduated from Ionia High School in 1933.

On March 14, 1935 she married Edwin R. Yeomans and he preceded her in death on 
November 22, 1986. Her life was their farm and family.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Russell, on December 8, 2004 and an 
infant daughter, Charlotte on July 29, 1948.  Surviving are a son, Sanford 
Yeomans and his wife Janet, of Ionia; Grandchildren Gregg Yeomans and his wife 
Gale of Ionia, Brenda DuFresne and her husband, Robert of Bay City, and Beth 
Thomas and her husband, Russell of Ionia; Great Grandchildren Justin, Nick, 
and Emma Thomas, Dan Yeomans, and Amanda DuFresne; special friend and 
neighbor, Betty Loveless of Ionia.

Funeral Services will be conducted by Rev. Martin H. Culver, Pastor of First 
United Methodist Church, Ionia at 11 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2006 at the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St. Ionia. Interment will be in Easton 
Township Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, 
May 21, 2006 at the funeral home. For those wishing, memorial contributions 
may be to First United Methodist Church in memory of Mrs. Yeomans.
