Aug. 3, 1944 OSCAR YERTY DIED AT GREENVILLE TUES. Oscar Yerty died at a hospital i Greenville early Tuesday evening following an illness of a month. Funeral services will be held at the Church of God in Belding at 2 Friday afternoon, and the body will be brought here for burial in Lakeside Cemetery. He was about 62 years of age and had lived here about 35 years ago when he was a shoe salesman in the E.C. Tew & Sons store. He and Mrs. Yerty went from here to Cassopolis where they conducted a general store for a number of years. During recent years he has been a traveling Evangelist for the Church of God. Mrs. Yerty, who survives is a sister of George W. and Ben Schneider in Woodland.
