She was born May 12, 1878 in Germany the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kotesky and at the age of about seven years came with her parents to live in the Lowell area where she remained until after her marriage to James Yonkers in 1905. She has been a resident of Lake Odessa for the past six years moving to that area from Caledonia. Mr. and Mrs. Yonkers celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July. She was a member of the United Brethren church. Surviving are her husband, James, three sons, Edward of Caledonia, the Rev. Irving Yonkers of Clinton, Miss., and Lester of Lake Odessa; two daughters, Mrs. George (Violet) Miller of Hastings and Mrs. Floyd (Esther) McVay of Lake Odessa and 15 grandchildren. The body will be at the family home until Thursday when it will be taken to the Cross-Miller funeral home at Caledonia and Friday it will be removed to the Caledonia United Brethren church where services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Alice Griffin officiating. Interment will be at the Caledonia cemetery.
