A few weeks ago he contracted a cold, which was not considered dangerous until a few days ago, when he became confined to his bed. Mr. York was 84 years old, and a Civil War Veteran. He leaves to mourn his death, a wife and three children, Mrs. George Wooldridge and John York, of Orleans, and Wm. York who resides in Oregon. A large number of other relatives and friends will also greatly miss him. He was a very devoted Christian, being a member of the Methodist church for many years. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Drew, who was assisted by Rev. Griswold, a former pastor of his church, and Rev. Birsdall of the Methodist Church. Miss Mabel Palmer and Al Sherwood sang. The burial took place in the Easton Cemetery, by the side of his first wife who died several years ago.
