Mr. York was taken with a severe attack a week ago and was removed to the hospital by ambulance. There he was placed in an oxygen tent, but his condition grew rapidly worse. Mr. York had always lived in Sebewa. For 46 years he lived on one farm—only a mile from the place of his birth. He was a son of Steven York, a pioneer resident of the area. Funeral services were held at Sebewa Center church on Tuesday, and burial was in the church cemetery nearby. Mr. York survived by his wife, the former Ruth Grieves of Boston township, by 13 months and two days. Surviving are three children, John, Helen and Zach, of Sebewa township, and four grandchildren. Ernest York, of Sebewa, is a brother, and Mrs. Eli Hissong, of that township is a sister.
