FORMER RESIDENT DIES UNEXPECTEDLY

George York, 81, former resident, passed away unexpectedly at his home in 
Orlando, Fla., Monday. He had been in business here for about three years.

Mr. York was born in Ionia county, the son of Mrs. George Hazzard and the late 
Charles York. Although he left here many years ago he was well known here as he 
returned here for visits with his mother and relatives. She resided here until 
she sold her home and left for Florida about two years ago.

He is also survived by his wife. 

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 o’clock at the Pickens chapel with 
burial in lakeside cemetery, Rev. A. J. Pitman officiating.
