Ionia Sentinel Standard, 8 Dec 1969

Mrs. Margaret Caroline York, 64, of 137 East Lytle died Saturday evening at
Blodgett Memorial hospital in Grand Rapids where she had been a patient two
days.  Born in Ionia, October 2, 1905, she was the daughter of Andrew and Bessie
Mangleson Gustafson.  She attended school in Ionia and also Owosso.

April 8, 1928 she was married in Ionia to Fred York and they made their home in
Flint, Ionia and Lansing before moving to Ionia permanently 25 years ago.  Mrs.
York assisted her husband in the operation of the York service station and store
at Saranac corners on M21.

Surviving besides her husband Fred, are two daughters, Madeline of Ionia and
Mrs. Guy Robert Cloyd of Kalamazoo; three brothers, Harvey Gustafson of Ionia,
Palmer of Lansing and Albert of Grand Ledge.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Boynton-Leddick funeral home. 
Rev. Lester C. Bailey will officiate and interment will be at Easton township
cemetery.  Family will be at the funeral home Monday and Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
