Wave & Times - Fri. Jan. 27, 1922 WELL KNOWN FARMER OF SEBEWA IS DEAD Elias York, well known Sebewa farmer died at his home Friday afternoon. He had been in failing health for about two years and seriously ill for about two weeks. Funeral services were held at the house Monday forenoon. Undertaker Mapes of Sunfield officiated. Rev. Stanley Phayer preached and Messers George and Russell Goodemoot sang. The singing was by request of the deceased when living. Burial was in Portland cemetery. He is survived by his wife and seven daughters; Mrs. Jos. Schnoble, Mrs. Laura Weaver, Mrs. Ross Trann, Muriel York, all of Sebewa, Mrs. Fred Schuerer, Orange, Mrs. Warren Luscher, Danby, Mrs. Percy Andus, Lansing, all of whom were present at the funeral.
