Lake Odessa Wave - Friday July 20, 1906

                            OBITUARY
Herbert H.York, son of George B. and Caroline M. York was born in Danby, Ionia 
County, Nov 12th 1872 and died in Lake Odessa Sunday morning, July 15,1906 at 
five o'clock.

December 16th, 1900, he was married to Miss Lydia Richards who has been a 
devoted companion and an untiring nurse for the past eight or nine months. 
Nothing that could be done was left undone by either wife or parent.

Mr.York was for two or three years in business here in fact until his health 
gave out. He leaves besides his wife, a father and mother and two brothers 
Charles of Wolverine and Ernest who lives at home. All were in attendance at the 
funeral which was held at the Congregational church Wednesday at 2 p.m. 
conducted by Rev. T.C.o and was very largely attended. The floral offerings were 
the most extensive of any seen in many years. Interment was LakeSide cemetery.

                            CARD OF THANKS
In acknowledgement of the many kindnesses in the way of assistance and words of 
sympathy during the long sickness and burial of our husband and son, the 
sympathy expressed in the beautiful church decorations and the large amount of 
cut flowers, we in this way wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere 
gratitude.
