SUNFIELD- John York, 83, of Roselawn Manor in Lansing, formerly of Route 1, 
Portland, died Sunday.

He was born April 27, 1902 in Saranac.

He is survived by one daughter, Geneva Speas of Lansing, three sons, Bernard of 
Pasadena, Calif., Ronald of Grand Ledge and John of Lake Odessa; seven 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one sister, Helen Earl and one brother, Zack York, both of 
Kalamazoo.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Mapes-Fisher Funeral Home 
in Sunfield, with the Revs. Joseph Speas and Kenneth Anderson officiating. 

Burial will be in the East Sebewa Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the cemetery today from 2-4 
p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
