Mary L. Yost, 87, of Belding died Tuesday evening July 31, 2007 at Metron of 
Belding Nursing Home.  Mary was born on December 29, 1919 in Owosso the 
daughter of William and Gladys Bartlett Wilson. 

She graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1938 and was a member 
of the First Congregational Church of Belding.  Mary enjoyed playing cards, 
gardening, reading, knitting and spending time with family and friends.  She 
was always ready and willing to get out and travel at a moments notice. She 
will be greatly missed by her friends and family.  

Mary was married on April 1, 1949 in Belding to William L. Yost and he preceded 
her on July 22, 1963.  She was also preceded by her son, Jeffery on Feb. 1, 
1994 and 4 sisters, Wilma Lumbert, Wenona Peterson, and Sylvia "Billie" Jensen, 
Cheri Zimmerman and her father and mother in law, Leslie and Lydia Yost.  Mary 
is survived by her children, Leslie Loper of Belding, and Cydney and Harold 
Petersen of Ionia, and a  step son, Gerry Yost of Newaygo.  Mary is also 
survived by her grandchildren, Brett Loper and Chris Koning, Brooke and Aaron 
Robinson, Tara and Matt Richardson, Clay Harwood, Jake Yost ,Maykala Yost, 
Kevin Yost, Karen and Tom Pollack, Jodi and Jay Fairchilds, 11 great 
grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, 
daughter in law, Helen Yost and her brother and sister in law; Jim and Bonnie 
Wilson of Belding.   

In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Graveside funeral 
services will be  11:00 AM Friday  at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.  In 
lieu of  flowers please consider memorial contributions to the Alvah N. Belding 
Library or Spectrum Hospice.  Care and service were entrusted to Johnson-
Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
