Pleasant where he had been a patient about a year. He had been in ill health the past three years. He was born in Berkeley Springs, W. Va., September 7, 1890, and later settled near Remus where he was engaged in farming. During the winter 1916 he worked for Judd Morgan at his blacksmith shop in Orleans which was located where the Maurice Petersen home now stands. Mr. Yost was a son of Peter and Anna Yost and was a veteran of World War I as were his three brothers, one of whom preceded him in death. Surviving are two brothers, Boyd and Jerry Yost of Remus; a half-sister, Mrs. Clifford Ort of Orleans; a stepbrother, Vern Fuller of Belding, and several cousins in the Greenville area. Funeral service will be conducted at the Crittenden funeral home in Remus, Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Schuttle pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Broomfield cemetery.
