The Belding Banner, Thursday, May 2, 1968


Mrs. Irene W. Youmans, 35, of Holland died unexpectedly last Friday.  Mrs. 
Youmans was born August 28, 1932 at Acton, Massachusetts.  She was a former 
Belding resident and had resided at Holland since 1962.

She was a member of Belding Doric Chapter No. 75 OES and Holland VFW 
Auxiliary.  She was married to Fields Youmans at Norfolk, Virginia February 17, 
1955.  He survives.

Also surviving are one son Albert at home, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter D. 
Handy of Waltham, Massachusetts, her mother-in-law, Mrs. Clinton (Hazel) Miles 
and two brothers David Handy of California and Thomas Handy of Boston, 
Massachusetts.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Huffman Funeral Home.  Rev. 
David Krist of Holland officiated.  Interment was in Rest haven Memory Gardens 
in Otisco Township.
