Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 12 Apr 1958

Rollie W. Young, 71, route one, Orleans, died at Butterworth hospital in Grand
Rapids Friday at 5:30 p.m.  He had been a patient at the hospital for one month
and in ill health for the past six months.

The son of Henry P. and Marie Young, he was born April 9, 1887 in Sebewa
township.  He attended Sebewa township schools and lived in Ionia county his
entire life.  On March 30, 1910 he was married to Martha Schroeder.  Mr. Young
was a farmer all his life.  He was a member of Orleans Center Grange.  Mr. and
Mrs. Young lived at their present residence since 1905.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Wilbur of Ionia and Wilson of Utica;
three brothers, Mannie and Ernest of Ionia and George of Portland; three
sisters, Mrs. Ethel Thorp of :Ionia, Mrs. Erma (Etola) Face of Orleans and Mrs.
Howard (Marie) Noddings of Orleans; six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral service will be held at the Phelps funeral chapel Monday at 1:30 p.m. 
Interment is to be in the family lot at Orleans cemetery.
