Mrs. Irene Mae Young, 43, died Wednesday morning in Macomb county as a result of
an automobile accident.  She was found about 5 a.m. Wednesday and was pronounced
dead upon arrival at Mt. Clemens hospital.

She was born September 4, 1915 in Illinois, the daughter of Luther and Mamie
Hawkins, and moved to Ionia county with her family in 1921.  She was married to
Wilson L. Young at Belding in 1934.  They lived at Detroit 23 years and have
lived at Utica since 1949.

Surviving are her husband, Wilson; three sons, Larry, Jerry and Richard; one
granddaughter; a brother, Orville Hawkins of Easton; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia
Holcomb of Easton township, and Mrs. Hazel Fernand of Grand Ledge.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home.
 The Rev. Hubert L. Ellis of Belding will officiate.  Interment will be at
Orleans cemetery.
