Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. Sept. 28, 1974

George H. Young, 93, of 20650 West Chicago, Detroit, died Friday at a Detroit 
hospital.

He was born April 9, 1881, in Ionia county the son of Henry and Mary Probart 
Young.

Survivors include the wife, Olive, of Detroit; three sons, Elvert Young of 
Detroit, Claude of Brooklyn and Bardon of Detroit; nine grandchildren and 22 
great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; brother, Ernest Young of 
Ionia; three sisters, Mrs. Etola Face of Orleans, Mrs. Marie Noddins of Ionia 
and Mrs. Ethel Thorpe of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 pm at the Neller funeral home in Portland. 
Interment will be at the Portland cemetery.
