GRAND LEDGE - Ormel F. Young, 81, of Eagle died Sept. 4, 1997 in Delta Township.

He was born Oct. 9, 1915 in Vickeryville, the son of Wilbur and Sadie (Baxter) 
Young.

He retired as a fire inspector from Fisher Body in 1978 where he had been 
employed for 37 years.  In his retirement he enjoyed research family genealogy, 
traveling with his wife and doing his yardwork.

He lived an example of honesty, hard work and respect to all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen; two daughters; one sister, Theo 
Mannor of Mesick; and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Connie Young Lucas in 1992.

Funeral services by Peters and Murray Funeral Home in Grand Ledge.
Burial in Palo Cemetery
