A. Young, Sr., who has been visiting his daughter, Miss Lillie Young, County Red Cross nurse for several weeks, died this morning at 10:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Townsend, Lovell place, where Miss Young rooms. Mr. Young had been ill about a week. He came to Ionia several weeks ago to visit his daughter and had planned to return to Erie, Pa., within a short time. He was 69 years of age. A short prayer service will be held at the house Friday morning and the funeral party will leave at noon for Pittsburg, the former home of Mr. Young, where burial will take place. Mrs. W. R. Stewart, Eric, Pa., a daughter, it was expected, would arrive here this afternoon, and a son, W. A. Young, Jr., of San Francisco, is on his way east called by his father’s illness. Mr. young was a well-known resident of Crafton, a suburb of Pittsburg. During his visit in Ionia with his daughter, he has made many friends being a very pleasant and genial gentleman.
