Mrs. Young was a native of Saranac and with the exception of a few years residence in Detroit, where she went to assist in the care of members of her family who were ill, she had resided within Ionia county. Her marriage to Mr. Young was in 1891. He died in 1898. She was one of the most loved persons in St. John’s Episcopal parish, quiet, retiring, always kindly spoken, ambitious for the interest of her church and its auxiliaries and possessed of a sweet Christian character. But few close relatives survive her and those include a half-brother, Claude Deits of Marion; two nieces, Mrs. Charles Whorley, of Easton, and Mrs. Harvey Haysmer, of Lowell, and a nephew, Lawrence Allins, of Grand Rapids. The funeral services will be held from the home, 333 West Washington street, at 2 o’clock and from St. John’s Episcopal church at 2:30. Rev. Edwin G. White will be in charge. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.
