Last week Friday she fell and fractured one of her hips which contributed to her death. Mrs. Young was formerly Miss Maria Probert, born in Portland January 20, 1854. She married Henry Young at Sebewa May 9, 1872, and resided in Danby and Sebewa until 1905 when they came to reside on a farm purchased at that time near Orleans. The last few years, because of failing health, have been spent in Orleans. Mr. and Mrs. Young had been married 64 years. During the existence of the Orleans Farmers Club she was one of it most energetic workers and an active member of the W. C. T. U. Surviving are her husband; four sons, George, of Detroit; Mannie, of Mt. Pleasant; Ernest, of Easton; Rollie, of Orleans; three daughters, Mrs. Bert Thorp, of Sebewa; Mrs. Ernest Face, of Orleans, and Mrs. Howard Noddins, of Orleans; ten grandsons, one granddaughter, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, June 20, at 2 o’clock from the Orleans church, Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating. Interment was in the Orleans cemetery.
