DENTON,TEX. - A former Saranac resident, Gladys M. Young, 88, died Sunday at 
Flow Memorial hospital in Denton, Texas.

She was born June 23, 1893 in Medina, Ohio and was a member of Cumberland 
Presbyterian church in Denton.

Survivors include two sons, Sheldon Smith of Ohio, Ralph Smith of Illinois, 
one daughter, W.R. (Celia) Thompson of Denton, Tex. five grandchildren and 
one great grandchild.

Her husband, Leon Smith preceded her in death in 1965.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 10 am at Roetman-Lake funeral home, 
Saranac. Rev. James Frank will officiate. Burial will be in the Saranac 
cemetery.
