Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday March 18, 1948

CHARLES YOUNG DIED FRIDAY
Charles L.Young, 60, an employee of the Lake Odessa Canning company for over 20 
years, died early Friday at Pennock hospital, Hastings, from a heart attack. 
Although in failing health for several months he had been working quite 
regularly until the last week or 10 days.

Surviving are  his wife, Emma; a son Rodney at home; three step-children, John
and Miss Addie Hill in Grand Rapids, and Gerald Hill at Pontiac; a sister Mrs 
Edith Doak at Portland, Ore., and a brother George at Minneapolis.

Services were held at the Pickens chapel Monday afternoon with the Rev. Ronald A 
Hoffman officiating. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.
