Young - Buried Sunday Mrs. Wayne Young, after 17 weeks of suffering from gangrene, passed away February 7 at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robert Young. She was born in New York September 4, 1829 and was the youngest and last of a family of seven. She was married August 5, 1856, and came to live in South Boston, where her two sons were born, Robert having died three years ago and Hugh still living in Lowell. Mr. Young died in 1907 and with the exception of a few years spent in Lowell, her life was spent in South Boston, where she had many friends. “Grandma”, Young was a charter member of the Grange and helped build the Congregational church. The funeral services were held at the house Sunday. Rev. Williams, of Clarksville, officiating, Orrin Sterkins of Lowell, furnishing the music. The bearers were neighbors, George and Charles Klahn, Frank O’Harrow, John Sterzick, Milo Schwab, and Earnest Tucker. Besides the son she leaves five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
