Mrs. Young had been in the usual good health until Sunday morning when she suffered a heart attack and was removed to Blodgett Hospital where she passed away soon after entering. Mrs. Young, the former Nellie Leece, was the widow of Robert Young. She is survived by two daughters, Belle and Alice and a son, Wilbur, all at home. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Congregational church in Clarksville with the Rev. Bogar officiating, and burial was in the family lot in So. Boston cemetery. Mrs. Young was a true neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed in her home and community ------------ Nellie Leece was born August 23, 1866 in So. Boston, Mich., on the farm then owned by the late A. S. Stannard, and passed away Dec. 16, 1951 in Blodgett hospital at the age of 83 years. With the exception of a few years in childhood, lived in Campbell township with her parents, she was a life resident of So. Boston, where on May 17, 1885 she was united in marriage with Albert W. Young, who passed away in 1920. In early womanhood she became a member of the So. Boston Congregational church and remained a faithful member during the existence of the church. She was active in the church Ladies Aid Society where she served as president and treasurer. She leaves two daughters, Belle and Alice; a son, Wilbur and many nieces and nephews who will long cherish her memory. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 18 in the Beattie Funeral Home in Clarksville, Rev. Paul Boger officiating. Interment in So. Boston cemetery. Six nephews acted as pallbearers. Relatives and friends attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Young, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Behler, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bustance, Jr., Mrs. Ed Folkertsma, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Leece all of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wacha of Greenville, and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Christie of Rockford.
