The Ionia County News, Thursday, February 14, 1924


Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Young, aged 91 
years, whose death occurred February 7th, after a long illness.  Deceased was 
the oldest resident in South Boston, and one of the oldest pioneers of Ionia 
county.

Services were conducted by Rev. Williams of Clarksville, and burial was made 
in South Boston cemetery beside the husband who preceded her in death nearly 
17 years ago.

Earl Biehler and family of Grand Rapids, Mrs. and Mrs. Wayne Young of Battle 
Creek and Dr. and Mrs. W. B. Huntley from Ionia were among those present form 
a distance who attended the funeral.
