Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2 Oct 1967

Lewis Young, 72, who lived at 267 Liberty, Muir, died Saturday in Ionia County 
Memorial hospital.  He was born November 16, 1893 in Berlin township, the son 
of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Young.

In 1914 he was married to Neva Woodard.  They lived for sometime in Lyons were 
Mrs. Young was manager of Lyons-Muir telephone exchange.  For the past 15 years 
they made their home at their present address.  He is a member of First 
Presbyterian church of Muir.

Surviving are his wife, Neva; two daughters, Mrs. Madeline Nobis of Muir and 
Mrs. Jean Carpenter of Ionia; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; five 
brothers, Glenn of Sara, Harry and Charles of Ionia; William of Ypsilanti and 
Clayton of Traverse City; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth White of Grand Rapids and Mrs. 
Vera Morrison of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Estep funeral home with Rev. 
Manson Lowe officiating.  Burial will be in Saranac cemetery.  A memorial is 
being established.  Family will be at the funeral home Monday evening.
