Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Fri. Dec. 21, 1984

IONIA- Alice G. Younger, 98, of Ionia died Wednesday evening in Ionia Manor.

Born in West Somerset, Niagara County, New Your, on July 17, 1886, she was the 
daughter of Albert and Phoebe Raze Brown. She moved with her family to Michigan 
when she was seven years old and settled in Montcalm County.

They moved to rural Ionia and she lived the rest of her life in this county.

She was married in Stanton in January 1909 to James Younger. He preceded her in 
death Oct. 20, 1934.

Surviving are a son, Keith Younger, of Ionia and a daughter, Leatha Bales, also 
of Ionia; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home, with 
the Rev. Larry Frye of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church officiating. 

Burial will be in Woodard Lake Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
