Mr. J. Keith Younger, 83, of Easton Township away Sunday, June 20, 1999, at the 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital. He was born the son of James and Allie (Brown) 
Younger on June 27, 1915, in Fenwick. 

He married the former Luella Jones on Oct. 3, 1936, in Angola, Ind., and she 
preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 1999. He worked for Peschke Meat Packing in 

Ionia for many years. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and he loved 
to fly.

He is survived by his loving family: daughter, Janice (Richard) Werner of 
Ionia; grandchildren, Jeff and Janine Erridge, Chris and Renee Cook, and Kevin 
and Sue Gorby; great-grandchildren, Casey, Jeffery and Dylan Erridge, Eric and 
Melissa Cook, Cheyenne and Devin Gorby, all of Ionia; one sister, Letha Bales 
of Belding.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one sister, Eileen Hogan.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia, 
With the Rev Jeanne Wisenbaugh from the First Christian Church, Ionia, 
officiating. Interment will be in Balcom Cemetery.

Visiting hours are 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the Rich Street Chapel of the 
Cook Funeral Home in downtown Ionia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice in care of the Cook 
Funeral Home.
