Oct. 22, 1934 RONALD MAN GUN VICTIM James Younger Shoots Self with 22 Rifle Because of Ill Health Is Found on Bed By Hunters James Younger, 65, Ronald township resident shot and killed himself at his home shortly before 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Younger was found by Lloyd Dunn, 35, who has been employed at the Younger farm for the last week. Dunn said he returned from hunting with Moss Alexander and Gilbert Reily, both of Detroit, and found Younger dying of a 22 rifle shot on his bed. He died before aid could reach him. Younger, a former livestock dealer and well known Ronald township farmer, was said by his family to be despondent over ill health for the past two years. He is survived by his wife Allie, and three children. Mr. Younger was born in Ronald township in 1869 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Younger, lifetime residents of Ronald. He attended the Holcomb school during his boyhood and in 1908 was married to Allie Brown, of Fenwick, and has since lived on his farm, one mile east of the Hubbell school. Surviving besides the widow are three children all at home, Keith, Letha, and Eileen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from their residence in Ronald with Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiating. Interment at the family lot at Woodard Lake cemetery.
