She was born in Orange township, October 3, 1867, the daughter of Harry and Susan Eldridge. Her early life was spent in Orange township. In 1881, she was married to Marvin Youngs who survives her. They formerly resided on a farm in Berlin township until four years ago when they moved to Ionia. In 1931 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Ionia. Survivors besides her husband are twelve children, seven sons, Lewis of Easton township, Harry and Charles of Berlin township, Glenn of Ionia, Peter of Grand Rapids, Arthur of Jackson, and Clayton at home; five daughters, Mrs. Maude Belcher of Easton township, Mrs. Vera Morrison of Berlin township, Mrs. Flora Ritenburg and Mrs. Lida Vard of Ionia, and Mrs. Ruth White of Grand Rapids; twenty-four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Stone funeral home Wednesday afternoon, March 9, at 2 o’clock with interment in the Balcom cemetery. Rev. C. A. Brady of the Church of Christ will officiate.
