The Belding Banner, Thursday, September 15, 1898

Mrs. Sarah L. Youngs died Friday morning aged 47 years.  She had been in poor 
health for several months.  Her husband died several years ago since which 
time she and her only daughter, Mattie, have lived together at their home on 
Front street.  The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon Rev. O. J. 
Golden conducting it.  Much sympathy is expressed for the daughter, Mattie, in 
this sad affliction.
