The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, February 9, 1980

Gerald J. Zahm, 61, 803 James St., died Wednesday at St. Mary’s hospital.  Mr. 
Zahm was born Sept. 17, 1918, in Belding.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s 
Church and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; two daughters, Linda Zahm of Grand Rapids 
and Mrs. Douglas (Sherry) Olsen of Rockford; three sisters, Mrs. Reuben 
(Carmon) Holt, Mrs. Paul (Madeline) Owen and Mrs. Byrne (Donna) Malone, all of 
Belding; and two grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Church with the Rev. John 
Wisneski officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Rosary 
will be recited today at 7 p.m. at the Huffman Funeral Home.  The family will 
receive friends and relatives at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
