The son of Jose Gumaro Zamora and Frances Rios Jasso, he was born July 31, 1961 in Mission, Texas. Following graduation from Greenville High School in 1981, he served four years with the United States Navy. Alfredo was a devoted father and enjoyed golf, basketball, football, boxing and softball. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 1436 and had served as a union steward at Hitachi Magnetics in Edmore, where he worked for the past 14 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Angelica “Angie” Zamora; brother, Ciriaco “Cid” Jasso; and brother-in-law, Sacramento Delgado. He is survived by his fiancee, Maria Badillo of Greenville; their children, Marquis Zamora and Makayla Zamora, both at home; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Gloria Jasso of Mission, Texas, six sisters and five brothers-in-law, Ana and Tom Huey of Boise, Idaho, Maria and Mike Cardenas of Grand Rapids, Reme Delgado of Grafton, North Dakota, Adelina “Nina” Johnston of Greenville, Tila and Raul Almanza of Greenville, Norma and Jack Reich of Sheridan; sister-in- law, Carol Jasso of Greenville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mass of Christian burial is 10 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Father Fred Brucker officiating. Military honors rendered by Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 will follow at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Envelopes for memorial contributions to a fund for Alfredo’s children are available at Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
