Funeral services for Herman H. Zander, 47, of 624 West Washington street, who
died unexpectedly early Monday morning at his home, were held Wednesday morning
at 11 o’clock at Myers funeral home with the Rev. Court O. Adams officiating. 
Pallbearers were Karl F. Zander, Richard Zander, Edward Zander, Jerry Alberts,
Forest Buck and Louis Haight.  Interment was at Balcom cemetery.

Mr. Zander had been on vacation from the A. & P. Store for a week and had been
at Clark Lake near Jackson.  They returned Sunday afternoon and he was in good
health when he retired Sunday night.  He became ill shortly after 5 a.m. Monday
and died before 6 o’clock.

Attending the services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Milo Nelson and family of
Battle Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Winters and son of Woodbury, Fred Zander of
Saranac, Mr. and Mrs. James Vincent of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Caine of
Kalamazoo, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Caine of Royal Oak, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Haight of
Walled Lake, Mrs. Leonard Stolkey of Dearborn and Mrs. Dell Merry of Clark Lake.
