The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, October 13, 1962

Frank Emil Zander, 86, of Muir died Tuesday at Butterworth hospital in Grand 
Rapids.  He had lived in Muir 13 years.

He was born in Keene township August 19, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred 
Zander, and was a retired employee of Hayes Ionia manufacturing company which 
later moved to Grand Rapids.

Mr. Zander is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edith Bowers of Howard City; two 
sons, George Zander of Ionia, and Frank Zander, Jr., of Grand Junction, Colo.

Funeral service will be conducted at Shaw Rivett funeral home in Muir Friday 
at 2 p.m. with interment at Oak Hill cemetery in Ionia.  The Rev. Elmer Ubbink 
of Lyons Baptist church will officiate.
