EILEEN DORIS ZANDER, 101
EileenDoris Zander, 101, of Ionia, passed away January 6, 2018.

She was born July 7, 1916, in Ionia, the daughter of Delbert and Minnie (Thren)
Hall. Eileen married Richard Zander Feb. 4, 19 45. He passed away in 1979. She was a member of
Holy Cross lutheran church in Belding. Eileen loved to bowl and was in leagues until she
was 97.

Surviving are her children, Thomas (Doni) Zander of Mason, Susan (Bill) Dygert of
Ionia, Kathy (Jeff) Engel of Woodland; grandchildren, Jeff (Tammy) Zander of Florida, Mike
Zander of Florida, Chris Young of Leslie, Heidi Dygert of Ionia, Becky (Sam) Noffke
of Laingsburg, Angela Perry of Ionia, Brian Engle of Woodland, Robert (Cindy) Kelley of
Lake Odessa, Scott (Kim) Engle ofIonia, Nicole (Dan) Zylstra of Lake Odessa; 23 great-
grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, four brothers and two
sisters.

A memorial service for Eileen will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, at 11 a.m. at Holy
Cross Lutheran church in Belding with Pastor Robert Wagner officiating. Visitation will be
Friday, Jan 12, at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia from 1-3 p.m. Interment Balcom cemetery. Those
wishing may make memorial contributions to Holy Cross Lutheran church and Ionia
Animal Shelter.
