She was born in Michigan, June 10, 1879, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Zank and attended Ionia schools. For many years she was employed as bookkeeper at Hales Mill and Ionia Electric and Gas company. She was a member of First Presbyterian church and in her earlier years sang with several church choirs. She was also a member of Women’s Association of Presbyterian church, Martha circle of the church and Women’s Literary club. She was a life member of Ionia Business and Professional Women’s club and a former member of Ionia Garden club. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Harry Holbrook of Hubbardston; two nieces, Mrs. Robert Spence of East Lansing, and Mrs. Gerald Schafer of Hubbardston. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at First Presbyterian church with the Rev. Wilfred G. Sawyier officiating and interment at Oak Hill cemetery. The body will remain at Myers funeral home until time of service. A memorial fund for First Presbyterian church has been established.
