Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. April 18, 1963

Former Local Resident Dies at Lansing
Mrs. Laura V. Zaukelies, 56, of 1416 Hess, Lansing, passed away Tuesday morning at 
Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, after a six day illness. She had been in ill health for
several years.

She  Was a member of the Church of God at Sebewa. A native of Odessa township, her 
parents were Charles and Gladys Cook. She married John Zaukelies at Detroit, January
20, 1926 and lived at Lake Odessa for ten years before moving to Lansing where they
lived for the last twenty years. They spent their summers at the farm on route 3.

Surviving are her husband; her father, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Zaukelies reposes at the Pickens Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be
held on Friday at 1:30 with burial in the Lakeside cemetery. Rev. M .L. Lowe of White
cloud will officiated.
