Fannie M. Zayler, 88, of Belding, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 27, 2005,
at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  Fannie was born March 3, 1917 in rural
Lakeview, the daughter of Arthur and Mary Deitz Christensen.  She lived her
entire life in the Montcalm and Ionia County areas.  Fannie enjoyed reading and
was a big supporter of the Alvah N. Belding Library.  She was married in 1939 to
Howard Larsen and he preceded her in death in 1955.  She later married Julues
Zayler and he preceded her in death in 2001.  Fannie was also preceded by her
son, Roger Larsen, in 1982; stepson, Harold Zayler; brother, Otto; and two
sisters, Annanell and Marian.  She is survived by her stepchildren, Robert and
Wanda Zayler of Stanton, Roger and Carol Zayler of Greenville; her grandchildren
and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Maudie Harrington of Belding, Charles and
Fran Christensen of Charlotte, William and Lorraine Pretzel of Marion.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home,
Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating. 
Interment will follow in East Montcalm Cemetery, Greenville.  The family will
greet relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home.  Memorial contributions may be given to Alvah N. Belding Library or Shiloh
Community Church.
