Barbara (Longwell) Zeeryp aged 61, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2004 
after suffering an extended illness. 

She is survived by her children Scott and Melissa Zeeryp, Sonja Moore and 
Bryan Zeeryp. Grandchildren Kaeli, Kristina, Gabrielle, Courtney and Andrew.  
Brothers Jim and Carol Longwell, Ralph Longwell Jr. Gary and Jean Longwell, 
Steve and Theresa Longwell. Sisters Cheryl and Roger Knutson, Brenda and Tony 
Mapes. Many nieces and nephews. Estranged husband Wayne Zeeryp also survives. 

She was preceded in death by her Father Ralph Longwell Sr. in 1974, Mother 
Doris Longwell in 1997, sister in law Sharon Longwell in 1994 and her brother 
Robert Longwell in 1963.

The family will be forever grateful to Barbara’s life long personal best 
friends Nancy and Roger Heffelbower. Nancy served the last few years as legal 
guardian for Barbara.  Barbara worked for more than a decade at Foremost 
Insurance Company and later for several years at Meijer. She was a long time 
member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids.

Funeral Services will be on Monday 11:00 A.M. at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with Pastor David Fleming officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday 4-8 
P.M. at the funeral home. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to 
Gerontology Network or Alzheimer’s Association of West Michigan.
