The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, October 26, 1962

Funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Myers funeral 
home for Elmer G. Zeigler, 75, of Orleans, who died Thursday afternoon.  He 
had been ill about a year.

An employee of Ionia Manufacturing company more than 40 years, he was born 
January 5, 1887 in Ionia county and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Zeigler.

Surviving are five sons, Ernest Zeigler of Lansing, Raymond and Roy Zeigler of 
Ionia, Neil Zeigler of Ovid, and Baylous Hysell of Bangor; eight daughters, 
Mrs. Manley Gallup of Orleans, Mrs. Dail Philips, Mrs. John Kinsman and Mrs. 
Alvin Wagnor of Ionia, Mrs. Thomas Sutliff of Wisconsin, Mrs. William Mills 
and Mrs. Alfred Besnor of Ortonville, and Mrs. Richard Sanders of St. Johns; a 
sister, Mrs. Cora Wheelock of Flint; 35 grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.

Interment will be in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
