Irma K. Zeigler, age 75, died Tuesday morning at Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.  She was born October 10, 1905, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter 
of Mr. and Mrs. August Zahnow. She was married July 17, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio 
to Fred Zeigler.

She was a former secretary to the president of Wickes Corp. of Saginaw.  She 
was in business with her husband, the owner and operator of the lumber yard in 
Muir for many years.  She was active with the Red Cross Blood Bank in Ionia.  
She and her husband moved to Muir in 1945, and later moved to Ionia in 1960.  
She was a member of the Silver Guild and the Child Study Club.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; one son, Fred M. of Crete, Illinois; one 
daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Plantamura of Grand Rapids; one brother, Melvin J. 
Zahnow of Saginaw; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services will be announced later by the Myers-Roetman Funeral Home.  
A memorial has been established for Cancer Fund or the First Presbyterian 
Church.  Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
