The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, July 2007


Lloyd LaVern Zeigler, of Ionia, aged 78, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 
2007.   He was born on August 5, 1928 in Ionia the son of Harold and Dorothy 
(Bohan) Zeigler. Lloyd worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections until 
he owned and operated Zeigler Welding in Ionia. He married Shirley Brown who 
passed away in 1977. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5065 in Sheridan, MI 
and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his son, Jamie in 2000. He is survived by his 
wife of 28 years, Lois; children, Jay (Valerie) Zeigler, Jon Zeigler, Joe 
(Lorraine) Zeigler, Jack (Julie) Zeigler, Joy (Jim) Rayle and Janet (Marv) 
Gentz; step-children, Douglas (Mary) Moon, Brian (Mickey) Moon, David 
(Cynthia) Moon and Vicki Cowles; adopted daughter, Shawna Zeigler; many 
grandchildren; special great-grandson, Brandon Currier; and many nieces and 
nephews. 

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the 
Resurrection Life Church, Ionia.
