Mrs. Louisa Zimmerman, 79, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lawrence 
Witzel, Adams Street, Tuesday evening at 9:20 pm after being ill since 
August.  She was born in Jackson County September 2, 1869, the daughter of 
Charles and Mary Hey.  She has been a resident of Ionia County for over thirty 
years.  She married Howard Zimmerman in 1887 in Stanton.  He preceded her in 
death in December, 1942.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Vern Smith and Mrs. Lawrence Witzel, of 
Ionia and Mrs. DeWitt Hale of Lansing; two sons, Earl of Hubbardston and 
Howard of Lansing; 28 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a brother, 
Alfred Hey of Six Lakes.

Funeral services of will be held Friday at 2 pm from Boynton’s Funeral Home.  
Dr. Howard Smith will officiate.  Interment will be at Edmore Cemetery.
