Zuller was born Dec. 10, 1853, in Herkimer county, N.Y. Died Feb. 9, 1918 at Shiloh, Mich. Age 64 years and two months. At the age of 11 years he came to Ionia county, Michigan, with his mother, one brother and one sister, his father having died in the Civil war. Mr. Zuller was a man of few words and sterling worth, was loved and respected by all. He was married at an early age to Ellen J. Decker. To this union three children were born, Minnie, who has gone on before, Clara, wife of Evart O. Warden of Orleans township, and a son Clyde B. Zuller, who resides in Grand Rapids. The wife and mother of these children passed away at the birth of the son, and some years later he was married to Mary L. Payne, sister of his first wife, who has also preceded him. About two years ago he began failing in health, and has gradually failed until he passed away Feb. 9, 1918, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Evart Warden, where he has made his home for several years. He leaves to mourn his loss, besides his son and daughter, eight grandchildren, one brother, Willard Zuller of Greenville, and one sister, Addie Decker of Ionia, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday, Feb. 13, Rev. R. D. Birdsall officiating, and he was laid to rest in Clear Lake cemetery.
