ZUSCHNITT SUCCOMBS TO OLD AGE - MR. HENNY HAS BEEN A SUFFERER FROM ASTHMA FOR MANY YEARS. Godlieb Zuschnitt, a well known former resident and business man of Woodland passed away at 6 o'clock last week Tuesday morning at the home of his son Wm. in North Carlton. Old age was the cause of death, having reached his 85th milestone his last birthday. Mr. Zuschnitt, since retiring from this village has been staying with is two sons, Wm. and John and daughter Mrs. Joe Henny, living near Freeport most of the time with the former. When William's home burned in February the old gentlemen went over to Mrs. Henney's home and stayed till Saturday, when he expressed his desire to return back to William's. They took him over that same evening but the strain of the ride weakened him so that they had to carry him into the house. Instead of rallying from the seeming fatigue, he gradually sank away into a peaceful sleep from which he never awoke the end coming the following Tuesday morning, the funeral was held Thursday forenoon from the Tamarac church conducted by Rev. Bergey of Woodbury and the remains were laid at rest in Lakeside cemetery. Deceased is survived by his wife now in her 85th year, also by a daughter Mr. Joe Henney of North Carlton, a daughter Carrie in California, a son in Kansas, and another son Henny at Nashville, also by two sons Wm. and John of North Carlton. He came to Woodland in 1865. He was widely and favorably known. At 7 ocock or just one hour later the same morning Mr. Zuschnitt's son-in-law Mr, Joe Henny, one of the best farmers of that vicinity, expired while attempting to get up from his bed. Mr. Henney had been a sufferer from asthma for many years and for some time had been troubled with heart failure, this latter probably being the cause of his death, as the family was greatly shocked at this sudden passing. His age is about 60 yrs. The funeral was held Friday forenoon at the Progressive Brethren church conducted by a minister from Indiana. Mrs. Zuschnitt makes her home with her daughter Mrs. Henney.
