Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Aug. 28, 1961

Herman G. Zwerk, 70, of route two, Belding, died at 9:30 Sunday morning inIonia 
County Memorial hospital after an illness of two weeks.

Mr. Zwerk had been employed as custodian at Ionia high school the past 12 to 14 
years.

He was born December 14, 1890, and was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are two children, Mrs. Esther Blew of Ionia and Raymond Zwerk of Belding;

eight grandchildren, and a brother, Henry Zwerk of Saginaw. His wife, Martha, died 
in 1951.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., at Myers funeral home with the Rev.

Floyd Emswiller of the First Christian church officiating. Burial will be at Balcom

cemetery.
