Ames Date Of Photograph: September 8, 1991 Photo can be seen at: http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/photos/tombstones/danby/ames99349gph.jpg Image file size: 422.0 Kb Willis F. Ames, son to the Thomas Ames (1831-1903) who is buried in Danby but has no stone and for whom the Civil War marker and flag is standing beside the stone of Harriet Ames. The tombstone, which seems to be home made as are they all since John Ames was a stone mason, states Willis was born 1853 but all else I have found on him says Oct 1850 (?). He died in Portland, Ionia, 20 Jul 1908. Additional Comments: (His wife (Ella Jane Pelton) from whom he may have been divorced or separated, is buried in Union/Partlow with her family) File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/photos/tombstones/danby/ames99349gph.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/mifiles/ File size: 1.3 Kb
